Ahead of you lies Maribert Village. Upon entering you will encounter multiple series of photographs which enumerate examples of small worlds. If you see a cat pass by, call out “Maibert!”-there is a good chance she’ll answer.
Each of us is the center of a unique world, having access to different places and people that no one else does. Some photographers hold their cameras up to detail the stories that make up these microcultures. Others place themselves in a new context to document the facades of a world to which they are an outsider. And yet others erect model environments that examine or critique the structures of the larger world.
Numerous worlds exist in proximity to each other. Sometimes their corners overlap in complex ways without us being aware of it. If you reach out and rub an elbow right there next to you, you might open entry to a realm you’ve never touched.
